"A
great 5 days to say the least. The sun broke a few
times, but clouds & mist hung on - & I loved
every minute. Highlights were many... Berry picking,
salmon fishing, halibut fishing was great &
the kids passed with flying colors. How many whales
did we see? To see one at a distance would have
been awesome, but several up close & personal
was beyond belief, the mountain hike is too, one
of those things I we'll always remember. "

Kayaking is one of the most
peaceful and unobtrusive ways to explore our beautiful coastal
areas. It is not uncommon to encounter bears, seals, otters,
eagles, whales, puffins and much more while paddling in
the bay. Underwater animals and plant life can often be
seen clearly while kayaking. These include starfish, urchins,
anemones, sea cucumbers and crab. Whether you are a novice
or experienced paddler, kayaking in Uyak Bay is sure to
be an unforgettable experience. A certified kayak instructor
and guide is at your disposal to ensure your safety and
comfort.
In addition to sightseeing by kayak, we offer several specialized
kayaking excursions to view bears and marine wildlife. We'll
transport you & the kayaks aboard the Shelbee-D then
set off in the kayaks to the rivers or prime wildlife viewing
areas. For many guests this is the highlight of their stay.
Spirit of Alaska Wilderness
Adventures is equipped with 3 single and 2 double kayaks.
Each kayak is equipped with paddles, spray skirts, paddle
