Alpine Hiking, Photography and Camping Adventures

“Visit the Backcountry”

Our new alpine hiking offers a rare opportunity to hike Kodiak’s spectacular high country: On these guided overnight trips we will explore the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) above 1,500 feet where there are vast expanses of amazingly beautiful tundra and snow capped mountains.

You will be high on the mountain tops over looking bays and fjords in the home of Kodiak’s alpine mammals and birds. Photo opportunities abound for mountain goat, eagles, ptarmigan and deer, as well as the most beautiful scenery Alaska has to offer. We hold the only permit for alpine backpacking in the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. Join us for an extreme adventure where others seldom go.

We offer 2 options for our Alpine Adventure
⊙ Start at our camp and hike up and back
⊙ Fly-in from camp to an alpine lake and then hike back*
*Additional rate applies

Campers need to bring their own food, and we'll provide quality gear (tents, back packs, bags, pads, mess-kit) or you can bring your own. This adventure is recommended for physically fit outdoor enthusiasts.
